No person can avail himself of a disability, unless it existed when his right of action accrued.
Notes
Limits use of a legal disability to extend or affect an action’s limitation period to disabilities that already existed when the person’s right of action accrued. A disability arising only after accrual cannot be invoked under this provision, which states no exception, alternate deadline, or additional type of qualifying disability.
