If a summons is served by mail pursuant to this chapter, the provisions of Section 1013 that extend the time for exercising a right or doing an act shall not extend any time specified in this title.
Notes
Limits time extensions for mailed service by providing that the extensions in Section 1013 do not extend any period specified in this title when summons is served by mail under this chapter. The mailing-based extensions therefore do not add time to deadlines established by the title.
