California Codes, Code of Civil Procedure - CCP, Part 2 — Of Civil Actions, Title 5 — Jurisdiction and Service of Process, Chapter 4 — Service of Summons, Article 1 — General, Section 413.40

Any service of summons which complies with the provisions of this chapter shall not be rendered invalid or ineffective because it was made by a person in violation of Chapter 16 (commencing with Section 22350) of Division 8 of the Business and Professions Code.

Notes

Establishes that service of summons complying with this chapter is not invalid solely because the person who served it violated the specified chapter of the Business and Professions Code. A process server's violation of those referenced professional requirements, by itself, does not invalidate otherwise compliant summons service.
