California Codes, Code of Civil Procedure - CCP, Part 2 — Of Civil Actions, Title 6.5 — Attachment, Chapter 8 — Levy Procedures; Lien of Attachment; Management and Disposition of Attached Property, Article 2 — Methods of Levy, Section 488.365

To attach goods in the possession of a bailee (as defined in Section 7102 of the Commercial Code) other than one who has issued a negotiable document of title therefor, the levying officer shall comply with Section 700.060.

Notes

Requires a levying officer attaching goods held by a bailee, as defined by the referenced Commercial Code provision, to follow the procedure in Section 700.060. The rule excludes a bailee that has issued a negotiable document of title for the goods, so this prescribed method does not apply to that circumstance.
