California Codes, Code of Civil Procedure - CCP, Part 2 — Of Civil Actions, Title 8 — Of the Trial and Judgment in Civil Actions, Chapter 4 — Trial by Jury, Article 3 — The Verdict, Section 628
In superior courts upon receipt of a verdict, an entry must be made in the minutes of the court, specifying the time of trial, the names of the jurors and witnesses, and setting out the verdict at length; and where a special verdict is found, either the judgment rendered thereon, or if the case be reserved for argument or further consideration, the order thus reserving it.
Notes
Requires superior-court minutes, upon receipt of a verdict, to record the trial time, names of jurors and witnesses, and the full verdict. When a special verdict is returned, the minutes must also include the resulting judgment or, if the case is reserved for argument or further consideration, the order reserving it.
