California Codes, Code of Civil Procedure - CCP, Part 2 — Of Civil Actions, Title 9 — Enforcement of Judgments, Division 5 — Satisfaction of Judgment, Chapter 1 — Satisfaction of Judgment, Section 724.030

When a money judgment is satisfied, the judgment creditor immediately shall file with the court an acknowledgment of satisfaction of judgment. This section does not apply where the judgment is satisfied in full pursuant to a writ.

Notes

Requires a judgment creditor to file an acknowledgment of satisfaction with the court immediately when a money judgment has been satisfied. Exempts a judgment satisfied in full pursuant to a writ from that filing requirement, so the immediate acknowledgment rule applies only when the judgment was satisfied by another method covered by the provision.
