The review upon this writ cannot be extended further than to determine whether the inferior tribunal, Board, or officer has regularly pursued the authority of such tribunal, Board, or officer.
Notes
Limits review under the writ to determining whether the inferior tribunal, board, or officer regularly pursued its authority. The reviewing court may not extend the writ review beyond that stated inquiry into whether the lower body or officer acted within the regular exercise of the authority it possessed.
