California Codes, Code of Civil Procedure - CCP, Part 3 — Of Special Proceedings of a Civil Nature, Title 3 — Of Summary Proceedings, Chapter 2.5 — Judicial Arbitration, Section 1141.30

This chapter shall not be construed in derogation of Title 9 (commencing with Section 1280) of Part 3, and, to that extent, this chapter and that title are mutually exclusive and independent of each other.

Notes

Limits the chapter so it cannot be construed to derogate from the separately referenced arbitration title. To that extent, the chapter and that title are mutually exclusive and independent, preserving each framework from displacement by the other where their subject matter would otherwise overlap under the terms of this provision.
