California CodesCalifornia Constitution - CONSArticle XIII — TaxationSection 22
Not more than 25 percent of the total appropriations from all funds of the State shall be raised by means of taxes on real and personal property according to the value thereof.
Notes
Limits the amount raised through value-based taxes on real and personal property to no more than 25 percent of total appropriations from all State funds. The cap applies to the aggregate property-tax contribution toward those statewide appropriations, so no more than one quarter may be raised that way.
