Notwithstanding any other provision of law, no osteopathic physician and surgeon shall utilize an osteopathic aide to perform services other than those specified in Sections 2459.5 and 2459.6. A violation of this section constitutes unprofessional conduct and is grounds for disciplinary action.

Notes

Prohibits an osteopathic physician and surgeon from using an osteopathic aide to perform any services beyond those authorized in the referenced provisions. Using an aide outside that permitted scope constitutes unprofessional conduct and provides grounds for disciplinary action against the osteopathic physician and surgeon.
