California Codes, Business and Professions Code - BPC, Division 3 — Professions and Vocations Generally, Chapter 12.5 — Geologists and Geophysicists, Article 1 — General Provisions, Section 7807.1

A qualified geophysicist is a person who possesses all the qualifications specified in Section 7841.1 for registration except that he is not registered.

Notes

Defines a “qualified geophysicist” as a person who possesses every qualification specified in the cited registration provision except registration itself. The term therefore covers an otherwise qualified person who has not been registered, making lack of registration the express difference between a qualified geophysicist and a registered one.
