(a) The expiration of a valid registration shall not deprive the director of jurisdiction to proceed with any investigation or hearing on a cease and desist order against a service dealer or service contractor or to render a decision to suspend, revoke, or place on probation a registration.

(b) This section shall remain in effect only until January 1, 2028, and as of that date is repealed.

Notes

Establishes that expiration of a valid registration does not end the director’s jurisdiction to investigate or hold a cease-and-desist hearing involving a service dealer or service contractor, or to suspend, revoke, or place a registration on probation. Limits the provision through January 1, 2028, when it is repealed.
