California Codes, Business and Professions Code - BPC, Division 9 — Alcoholic Beverages, Chapter 3 — Licenses and Fees, Article 3 — Rights and Obligations of Licensees, Section 23397

Alcoholic beverages may be served on trains, boats, and airplanes under onsale licenses issued for trains, boats, and airplanes, only to passengers or employees not on duty.

Beer may be served on boats under an onsale beer license for fishing party boats except during the time such boats are at a dock.

Notes

Limits service under on-sale licenses for trains, boats, and airplanes to passengers and employees who are not on duty. Fishing-party boats holding an on-sale beer license may serve beer, but not while the boat is at a dock, creating an express location-based restriction on that otherwise authorized service.
