California Codes, Business and Professions Code - BPC, General Provisions, Section 7
Any conviction for a crime under any act repealed by this code, which crime is continued as a public offense by this code, constitutes a conviction under this code for any purpose for which it constituted a conviction under the act repealed.
Notes
Establishes that a conviction under an act repealed by the code counts as a conviction under the code when the same crime continues as a public offense. The carried-forward conviction has the same purposes and effects under the code that it had under the repealed act.
