California Codes, Civil Code - CIV, Division 3 — Obligations, Part 4 — Obligations Arising from Particular Transactions, Title 3 — Deposit, Chapter 2 — Deposit for Keeping, Article 3 — Storage, Section 1854
In the absence of an agreement as to the length of time during which a deposit is to continue, it may be terminated by the depositor at any time, and by the depositary upon reasonable notice.
Notes
Allows a deposit with no agreed duration to be terminated by the depositor at any time and by the depositary upon reasonable notice. Sets those termination rights only when the parties have not agreed how long the deposit will continue, giving the depositor an immediate termination right and the depositary a notice-based termination right.
