California Codes, Code of Civil Procedure - CCP, Part 2 — Of Civil Actions, Title 9 — Enforcement of Judgments, Division 1 — Definitions and General Provisions, Chapter 3 — Period for Enforcement and Renewal of Judgments, Article 2 — Renewal of Judgments, Section 683.220

If a judgment is renewed pursuant to this article, the date of the filing of the application for renewal shall be deemed to be the date that the period for commencing an action on the renewed judgment commences to run under Section 337.5.

Notes

Sets the filing date of an application to renew a judgment as the date on which the limitations period for commencing an action on the renewed judgment begins to run under the referenced statute. The renewed judgment’s action period is therefore measured from that renewal-application filing date.
