California CodesCode of Civil Procedure - CCPPreliminary ProvisionsSection 7
When any office is abolished by the repeal of any Act, and such Act is not in substance reënacted or continued in either of the Codes, such office ceases at the time the Codes take effect.
Notes
Requires an office abolished by repeal of an act to cease when the Codes take effect if the repealed act is not substantially reenacted or continued in any of the Codes. The termination rule therefore depends on both abolition by repeal and the absence of substantive reenactment or continuation elsewhere in the Codes.
