A member of the Legislature may not, during the term for which the member is elected, hold any office or employment under the State other than an elective office.

Notes

Prohibits a legislator, during the term for which elected, from holding any office or employment under the State other than an elective office. The restriction applies throughout that elected term and permits another State position only when the position is itself elective.
