A member of the Legislature is not subject to civil process during a session of the Legislature or for 5 days before and after a session.

Notes

Exempts a legislator from civil process throughout a legislative session and during the five days immediately before and after that session. The protection applies only to civil process and is tied to the session period plus the stated five-day interval on each side.
