The Legislature may provide for the appointment by trial courts of record of officers such as commissioners to perform subordinate judicial duties.
Notes
Allows the Legislature to authorize trial courts of record to appoint officers, including commissioners, who may perform subordinate judicial duties. The appointment power belongs to those trial courts only if the Legislature provides for it, and the assigned functions must remain subordinate judicial work.
